Ms. Rodin is currently Commissioner and Chair of the Human Relations Commission of Chatham County. Ms. Rodin is a resident at Galloway Ridge and served on the Residents’ Council and was Chair in 2007-2008. In 2006, she served as Galloway Ridge’s representative to the Continuing Care Community Residents of North Carolina (CCCR of NC) and is currently the Chair of the Eastern Region and a member of the State CCCR of NC Executive Board. She has also served on the Dining Services Committee, Phase II Committee of the Board of Directors, Distribution Committee of the Charitable Fund, and as Chair to the Ad Hoc Survey Committee of Council.
Prior to moving to Galloway Ridge in 2005, Ms. Rodin served as a State Hearing Officer in the Due Process unit of the Connecticut Board of Education, practiced law in Westchester County NY and taught in Greenwich and Norwalk Connecticut public schools. She served as member and Chair on various City Commissions and community organizations in Norwalk, CT, as policy analyst for a Charter Review Committee of the Norwalk Common Council and as administrator of two ad hoc projects. She served as a member of Connecticut State and regional organizations, including the Southwestern Connecticut Agency on the Aging, and the Advisory Council dealing with grant distribution.
Ms. Rodin has a M.A. in Urban Affairs and Policy Analysis from the Graduate School of Management and Urban Professions, New School for Social Research, New York City; M.S. in Elementary Education, University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, Connecticut; L.L.B. New York Law School, New York City, NY; B.A. University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois.
