Residents come to Galloway Ridge with a strong commitment to philanthropy and social involvement, and they are aware of the great needs in Chatham County. In 2006, the Board of Directors of Galloway Ridge, Inc., established The Galloway Ridge Charitable Fund. Initially, this Fund focused on supporting education and literacy in Chatham County.

Since then, the Fund has contributed to many other community efforts, including Meals on Wheels, The Women's Center, Alzheimer's Association, Chatham County Together, CORA Food Pantry, UNC Lineberger Cancer Center, Senior Games for Chatham County, and more. Each year, Galloway Ridge also makes a gift to the Resident Reserve Fund in memory of individual residents at Galloway Ridge.
