Mr. Pond is Director of the Humanities and Human Values Program, UNC-Chapel-Hill. He has also held the following positions:

• Producer, Researcher and Writer, UNC Center for Public Television.
• Director of Public Programs, National Humanities Center.
• Assistant Professor, Telecommunication and Film, University of Alabama, College of Communication.
• Instructor, University of North Carolina at Chapel-Hill.
• Announcer, WCHL Radio.

Mr. Pond is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, 1976, he also received his B.A. and M.A., English Literature from Brigham Young University, 1968.
