Retirement doesn't get any better than this!
Ask someone at Galloway Ridge.

For Galloway Ridge at Fearrington residents Ralph and Virginia Young, "busy" is a way of life. He's a retired international banker. She is the former president of the Friends of Chapel Hill Public Library, president of the Preservation Society and they both are self-described "town volunteers." Virginia is now a board member of Galloway Ridge. "We've lived all over the world, and we love it here," says Virginia. "We like the country-like setting, and we love our bright, roomy villa. It's just all clicked for us." While not apt to sit still long, the Youngs are enjoying the carefree lifestyle they've found at Galloway Ridge. "We say, if you feel great, plan ahead and come enjoy everything now. We plan to!"

Diana and Henry Hseih like to make their own choices, and Galloway Ridge at Fearrington Hsieh Photois one they feel great about. "We really researched Life Care, and we were very impressed with Galloway Ridge," says Diana. "Should we need it, we know we'll receive excellent care in The Arbor, and that makes us feel secure." Right now, the couple is enjoying art classes, exercising, yoga and massage therapy at the on-site Duke Center at Fearrington. "Our lifestyle hasn't changed, but now we have more time for everything," says Diana. "And we love how easy it is to make friends here, everyone is very helpful and it's easy to fit in. Galloway Ridge at Fearrington definitely has met all our criteria. It's ideal for us."

Avid gardeners for some 50 years, Willard and Shirley Hartman are finding Galloway Ridge at Fearrington is the perfect place to blossom. In fact, Shirley says there's only Hartmans Photoone word to describe it: superlative. "It's beyond excellence in every area: the dining, the Duke Center, the incredible staff, the Arbor, the concept of Life Care—we feel lucky to be living here." Willard is a retired Yale University biology professor and still conducts research. Shirley served as chief exhibit designer for the Peabody Museum. Both now enjoy movies at Galloway Ridge, exercising, and their balcony garden. And thanks to an on-site dietitian, food allergies aren't preventing the couple from enjoying the excellent cuisine. "It's like dining on a cruise ship," says Shirley. "We just love it here!"
