Council on Aging's 19th Annual Taste of Chatham Fundraiser

The Chatham County Council on Aging invites residents to enjoy an evening of fine food, entertainment, and a unique silent auction at its 19th Annual Taste of Chatham Banquet on Sunday, September 30th, from 4-6 pm at the Galloway Ridge Auditorium. 

UNC Chancellor Holden Thorp's band, Equinox, will serve as entertainment for the evening. The band provides a stimulating blend of jazz and blues and is sure to please. There will also be an exciting and unique silent auction with items such as a hot air balloon ride and shopping and dining packages, just to name a few.

Hosted by Galloway Ridge at Fearrington, funds raised during "A Taste of Chatham" will be used to support the Senior Centers and the programs and services offered which include: Home Delivered Meals, In-Home Aide Service, Caregivers Support & Respite, Congregate Meals, Minor Home Repairs, Information & Referral and Wellness Programs.

    "This is our key annual fundraiser," says Angel Dennison, executive director of the Council on Aging. "Community participation is vital to support the generous donations from restaurants, food vendors and local businesses in raising money to meet the needs of seniors in our county."
